Discovering the Rich Heritage of Slimbridge
Welcome to Slimbridge Local History Society
Our aim is to promote and encourage the study of the history of the parish of Slimbridge in Gloucestershire.
We do this by presenting relevant, entertaining and informative presentations and outings. Membership is open to all, whether parishioners or from anywhere else in the world that has an interest in the history of our parish.
We keep our members informed through this website, our Facebook page and by regular emails. Membership is on an annual calendar year basis and allows for free entry to presentations and unlimited access to our online archives.
The parish has a rich history at the centre of which is the magnificent 12th century church of St John the Evangelist.
We hope you will enjoy our website and go on to explore the following pages which will explain more about our parish and this society.
